Hey Skillsters! So, I'm at it again. This time "I'm doing it for myself." That was the advice I got from David Lettermen when I was on his show shortly after my elimination from Survivor: Cook Islands was aired on CBS.

On April 18th, 2010 I filmed the movie "The Infernal Room" as my directorial debut. I also starred in it along with fellow reality stars Paul Grassi of The Mole, Jason Prager of Beauty And The Geek, and Leah Bitar of the up coming reality show Rock And A Hard Place. The cast also included Rachel Rose Gilmour, Yelena Sabel, Guy Duquesnay, Ebru Yonak, Keith Collins, and Diana Brunner. The movie was shot in one day at Glen Cove Mansion. The shoot lasted over 17 hours. And there was a lot of stage blood used! Sorry no tourches were snuffed but people were snuffed and there WAS some FIRE! ha ha ha.

Though I also served as Executive Producer through my newly formed production company Tribal Council Entertainment, the crew was primarly made up of members of Mad Panda Productions along with Cameraman/Cinematographer James Breem. My sister Laurin Garcia, who was a long time costume maker for broadway musicals was the prop master and costumer. As well as acting in the movie, Leah Bitar also did the make up. What a trooper! More on her in a moment.

The idea came about when Paul Grassi, Jason Prager and myself discussed the lack of progress from the previous movie we shot called "Reality Horror Night." We did all of that work, got it a ton of publicity and nothing came of it. Who wouldn't be ticked off about it? I told Paul and Jason that I had learned from The Hollywood Film Institute this fimmaking method made famous by Alfred Hitchcock and that I truely believed I could use that method to film a full length feature film in one day. Paul and Jason love me but they were skeptical. So I came up with a story that was like Hitchcock yet Twilight Zone-ish but horror, got together with Award winning writer Geraldine Winters and together we came up with a script of a real time, one location, horror/suspense/thriller.

With a great story in place we descended upon Glen Cove Mansion in Long Island, New York. Arriving at 8am and stopping only for meals and a fire alarm set off by our smoke machine...Doh! We kept shooting until way after 1am. The cast and crew were so hardcore that it made that long shoot a lot of fun. Everyone was happy to work as many different jobs as nessesary to make the best movie we could. In the end, we did just that. Plus, I wrote Leah's character, she's a major hottie by the way, to be my love interest in the movie so making out with her take after take made the movie shoot especially sweet for me...ha ha ha. Candice who? Hey, if it were your movie you'd have done the same! Ha ha ha!

Well, the movie is now in post production where Guy Duquesnay will handle the editing duties. We expect a nation wide release this summer. That's when everyone will see that;

In an old house ...behind a marked door ...lies an Evil .....waiting to cross the gateway of hell into our world ....and escape The Infernal Room!

Speaking for myself...I was both! I was totally exhausted though I tried not to show it but I was also stoked that we got it all done!

I think the movie is gonna do well amongst Reality Fans and Horror Fans of course, but Especially Reality Fans. Seeing us get the crap scared out of us then bloodied and killed is better than just seeing us take a walk a shame into darkness. ha ha ha

I've been blessed with lots of support since my time on Survivor so I expect the DVD sales to do well.

Thanks!
