Former reality TV star Rupert Boneham said he thinks he has a real shot at becoming Indiana's next governor. If former Pro Wrestler Jesse "The Body" Ventura can do it why not Rupert?

Three-time Survivor contestant, and now Libertarian candidate, Rupert Boneham will be continuing his campaign for
for Indiana Governor on June 27th at the Wayne County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Rupert will be available to answer questions, talk to the crowd and probably autograph some tie-dyed T-shirts too.
Also appearing with Rupert will be the Libertarian candidate for lieutenant governor, Brad Klopfenstein,
and other local Libertarian candidates running for office.

Outlining Rupert's 3 main issues, or as he calls them "My 3 Biggies", are Jobs, Education and the Correctional Facilities.
Rupert wants less government, it will be the key part of his campaign. Other issues he is targeting are government spending, civil rights namely marriage equality, right to work laws and attacks on specialty license plates.

Rupert realizes he's somewhat of an 'untraditional' candidate. He goes on to say, "I am not the career politician that has the slick answers. I don't have the 15 second sound bites. But I do have the ability to do what I say and say what I mean,"

Currently Rupert is far behind in the polls. Trailing the Republican's (44%) and the Democrat's (31%), Rupert, as the Libertarian nominee has only 5% of the vote. But Rupert believes he has a strong chance of pulling not just the Libertarian vote, but the independent vote, the undecided vote, and maybe even some votes from Democrats and Republicans.

And let us not forget, that Rupert, although he never won "Survivor", is the only contestant to win $1,000,000 by public vote.

The Indiana Debate Commission announced Thursday that gubernatorial candidates Rupert Boneham, John Gregg and Mike Pence have agreed to three televised debates ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

The dates of this year’s debates have yet to be determined, according to commission President Max Jones, editor of the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute

Pence, a 10-year congressman representing Indiana’s 6th District, is the Republican candidate for governor. Gregg, a former Indiana House speaker, is the Democratic candidate. The Libertarian Party nominated Boneham, best known for as a contestant on the reality TV show “Survivor.”
