Philippines, the 25th installment of the best reality-competition show on TV, has had its premiere date set. That date is Wednesday, September 19th at 8:00 pm EST, and it will be returning with a special 90-minute episode.
The US version of Survivor has never been to the Philippines per say (although the island of Palau does share its waters), but there is a Philippine version of the show that began in 2008. This time around, it has been announced that there will be three returning players, joining an entirely new cast. The three returning players share a common bond - they have all left the game in the past due to a medical emergency.
Since only 10 players have ever had this happen, the choices are pretty slim.

Survivor and host Jeff Probst will be back for this 25th installment and for at least one more season to follow in the Spring of 2013. One would think that unless ratings take a complete dive, that the show will continue on at least until it has hit the landmark of 30 seasons.
